Engagement Retainer Search

Our engagement retainer search process is different.  First, we specialize in the retail industry.  If we’re selected to represent your brand name you’ll be represented by retail professionals with a proven process to deliver your candidate. The cost to you for an engagement retainer search is no more than a contingent search.  The difference is that your search is prioritized above other contingent projects.

Top candidates must be attracted to your opportunity and away from your competition.  We fully manage the candidate through every aspect of the interview and placement process.  This can include relocation and video conferencing support.

We analyze the market to determine candidate availability, compensation level and develop an effective partnership plan with you.  Our process includes discovery time analyzing the market to determine candidate availability, compensation level, position profile and develop an effective reporting process so your leadership team stays connected.

An engagement retainer installment typically representing one-third of the fee is advanced to begin the project.  The remaining two-thirds balance is only due upon placement of a candidate with your company.

The primary reasons for conducting an engagement retainer search are:

  • Attracting executive level  or high-demand retail talent
  • Timing is important – the position must be filled within a specific window of time
  • A confidential approach where existing candidate is in place
  • Dedicated resources assure your project stays on schedule to deliver top talent for the leadership team.

Contingency Search

Sometimes a contingent approach can meet your need.  As with the above methodologies, your search will still be delivered through our proven, complete client / candidate process.

Our contingency search option may be satisfactory if:

  • Timing is less critical
  • You are confident that your company will be consistently represented even though more than one recruiter is involved
  • Having your search project prioritized after other exclusive or engagement retainer projects will meet your required timing to fill the position

Volume Project Search

A Volume Project is typically used if there is an aggressive growth strategy or restructure defined and you need this executed in a timely fashion.  This is something that will be defined by you based on your plans.  There may or may not be an upfront financial commitment with this. The partnership will again dictate the fees associated with the search.

You are confident that your company will be consistently represented even though more
